Home Truths was the title of a solo exhibition I had a few years ago in London.  The idea was to explore some of the idioms and sayings that make up a surprisingly large part of spoken english.  We often say these phrases with no real idea where they've come from, as a kind of shortcut to avoid a lengthy explination of a complicated subject, or sometimes when we just can't think of anything else to say.
Each design is printed onto pages torn out of old pulp novels of the type you'd pick up at a train station in the mid 20th century.  Between each colour in the screenprinting process i was working back into each print with markers, pencils and spraypaint.  Because of the hand finishing and the process of taping together torn pages each print is completely unique.
